Jake Marsh
Jake Marsh runs Great Work, the small software company that makes Listvane, and edits the Merchant Center issue guides on this site.
Jake has been building software and writing about it since 2010, first on his blog Deallocated Objects and then on Little Bites of Cocoa, an iOS development site with 392 short tutorials. Great Work makes small, paid tools for businesses, and Listvane is the one for stores selling through Google Shopping.
How the guides are made
Every guide quotes Google's own help pages word for word and links to them, so you can check the source yourself. When a quote no longer matches Google's page, the guide is corrected and its date changes. The notes on what an issue looks like on a real store come from the checks the scanner runs. None of it is legal advice, and none of it promises an outcome: only Google decides whether an account is approved.
