"Missing product price" in Merchant Center: what it means and how to fix it

"Missing product price" is an item-level issue: it affects the specific products it's attached to.

What it usually looks like on a store

Typical sources are products whose price depends on an option the shopper hasn't chosen yet, quote-only or call-for-price items, and feed apps mapped to the wrong field. On the page itself, an offer in the product markup with no price, or a price written as text such as From $20, leaves nothing machine-readable to compare against.

What Google says

A product has no valid price attribute. Google says all products need a price to show in ads or free listings, and the price and currency must match the product page.

  • Price matches the page: The price in your structured data and social meta tags appears on the page itself.
  • Currency matches: priceCurrency is set, and the currency shown on the page matches it.
  • Product structured data: Each product page has valid Product markup (JSON-LD or microdata) with a name, image and offer.

Questions

Can a website scan fix "Missing product price"?

Partly. We check your product pages' markup for the related fields (price matches the page, currency matches, product structured data), but the fix itself is in your product data in Merchant Center or your feed app.
