"Missing availability" in Merchant Center: what it means and how to fix it
"Missing availability" is an item-level issue: it affects the specific products it's attached to.
What it usually looks like on a store
The feed sends no stock status, which on a store means a feed app not mapped to inventory or products that don't track stock at all. Preorder and backorder items need an availability date as well. The product markup on the page should carry the same status, using a schema.org value such as InStock, OutOfStock or PreOrder.
What Google says
The availability attribute is required for all products so customers know if the product is in stock. Preorder or backorder items also need an availability date up to 1 year in the future.

Submit the missing availability [availability] attribute, and match the availability from your landing page and checkout pages.Google, How to fix: Missing availability
Also seen as: "Missing product availability", "Missing value [availability]".
How to fix it
Based on Google's help pages, in plain language:
- Add the availability value so it matches the landing page and checkout; add availability_date for preorder or backorder.
What to check on your website
These are the checks we run that relate to this issue. A problem in any of them can be enough on its own.
- Availability matches the page: Offer availability is set with a valid schema.org value and agrees with what the page shows (no "in stock" markup on a sold-out page).
- Product structured data: Each product page has valid Product markup (JSON-LD or microdata) with a name, image and offer.
Requesting a review
Google says changes may take 24 to 72 hours to show on the Needs attention page.
Questions
Can a website scan fix "Missing availability"?
Partly. We check your product pages' markup for the related fields (availability matches the page, product structured data), but the fix itself is in your product data in Merchant Center or your feed app.
