Home / Merchant Center issues / Merchant listing markup missing Offer, price or currency
Why does Search Console flag my merchant listing markup, and how do I fix it?
For a product page to be eligible for merchant listing experiences in Google Search, its Product markup needs name, image and offers. Merchant listings need an Offer: AggregateOffer is accepted for product snippets only, because the merchant has to be the seller.

What it usually looks like on a store
The usual cause is a theme or SEO app that prints one AggregateOffer with a low and high price for a product with variants, a free sample or bundle priced at 0, or a price written without priceCurrency. The page looks normal to shoppers; only the markup is off.
What Google says
For a product page to be eligible for merchant listing experiences in Google Search, its Product markup needs name, image and offers. Merchant listings need an Offer: AggregateOffer is accepted for product snippets only, because the merchant has to be the seller. The Offer needs a price (or priceSpecification.price) greater than zero, and priceCurrency in three-letter ISO 4217 format. The Merchant listings report in Search Console shows errors and warnings for these pages. The "Missing field" messages listed below are the wording merchants report from Search Console; Google doesn't publish that list on a public page.

How to fix it
Based on Google's help pages, in plain language:
- Add the required Product properties: name, image and offers.
- Use a nested Offer (not AggregateOffer) on pages where you sell the product.
- Give the Offer a price greater than zero (offers.price or priceSpecification.price) and a three-letter ISO 4217 priceCurrency.
- Make sure image URLs are crawlable and indexable.
- Validate with the Rich Results Test and fix critical errors; then check the page with the URL Inspection tool.
- After fixing, use the Merchant listings report in Search Console to validate the fix.
What to check on your website
4 of our checks relate to merchant listing markup missing offer, price or currency, and a problem in any one of them can be enough:
- Merchant listing offers: Product markup uses an Offer (not only an AggregateOffer) with a price above zero, which Google's merchant listings require.
- Product structured data: Each product page has valid Product markup (JSON-LD or microdata) with a name, image and offer.
- Price matches the page: The price in your structured data and social meta tags appears on the page itself.
- Currency matches: priceCurrency is set, and the currency shown on the page matches it.
Requesting a review
Search Console rich result reports have a Validate fix flow; Google recrawls the affected pages. Google notes it may take several days after publishing for a page to be found and crawled.
Questions
Can a website scan fix "Merchant listing markup missing Offer, price or currency"?
Partly, by finding what's wrong on the pages reviewers open (merchant listing offers, product structured data, price matches the page, currency matches), with a fix for each. Making the changes is up to you or your developer, a re-scan confirms them, and Google alone decides the review.
